Yes, that’s right. The waiting is over. Mortal Kombat XL is finally coming to PC. Mortal Kombat XL was released downloadable content and was released exclusively for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on March 1, 2016, in North America, and March 4, 2016, in Europe.
PC players once again felt like they were left behind. At first, it looked like there were no plans for Mortal Kombat XL release on PC. Since the base game had a lot of issues, NetherRealm wasn’t eager to put any effort in making this happen. Still, the PC players wanted the same treatment like console players.
Then all out of the sudden, game creator Ed Boon posted an interesting teaser on his twitter profile. Alongside the picture of the PC motherboard, he wrote: “Maybe we should Karry eXtra Long People who Care?” The capitalized letters form MK XL PC.
After the tease, he was quick to post the download link for PC beta of Mortal Kombat XL. You can read the full tweet and see the link here. The Mortal Kombat XL for PC is now scheduled to be released on October 4 via Steam.
There is some more good news to make PC gamers happy. PC version of XL will include both Kombat Packs, and the base game. Mortal Kombat X players will get the patch for their game on the same day. According to VG247 ” this update will bring the PC version inline with consoles, in terms of character balance, and bring the improved netcode console players have been enjoying for a while.” This means that PC players could finally see their online gaming experience improved. Now all you have to do is to sit tight and wait for October 4.
