After the insane and unexpected results of Cap Cup 2016, Capcom has decided to treat us to the first ever gameplay footage of the newly announced Marvel Vs Capcom Infinite. The footage is brief but we can see how the game will play once it releases next year. Check it out:
For the the brief Marvel Vs Capcom Infinite Gameplay you saw above, we can easily see how the game will differ for its predecessor. For starters this is a 2 vs 2 game, rather than 3 vs 3. The combos and launchers give a very “Tatsunoko Vs Capcom” kind of feel than Marvel vs Capcom 3. The stage shown in the gameplay is most certainly Asgard, the home land of Thor from the Marvel Universe. We also got a glimpse at the use of the Infinity Stones. These powerful gems have always been a huge part of the Marvel comics, and play a large role in the movies of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We saw Ryu use the Power stone, which grants him power and maybe some sort of invincibility. Captain Marvel on the other hand used the Time stone, which allowed her to teleport around Ryu to give him quite the beatdown.
We can only guess what the other four infinity stones will give their users. In the marvel comics the six infinity stones are: Power, Time, Space, Reality, Mind and Soul Stones.
There is still a long way until Marvel Vs Capcom Infinite Releases, and we are sure to get more gameplay trailers, news and announcements.
